Where is `#no_copy` documented?

The only place I could find where #no_copy is documented is June 2023 Newsletter | Odin Programming Language. Other than that, I can’t find any documentation for this, just references to it in packages like Sync.

There seem to be other things that are missing documentation as well (“”" and ``` strings, and other directives that I looked for at one point and can’t remember off the top of my head). When I find something undocumented, should I open an issue?

It almost seems like there should be a comprehensive language reference document. Maybe that is what the Overview is for, but it seems like the overview is missing things, and the word “overview” implies that there is something deeper to look at, which there is not (other than the source code, which I don’t really want to dive through as a language user).

#no_copy was removed a while back. There are still some lingering references to it, I guess.

In general, a lot of newer things (e.g. """ literals) do tend to be missing documentation. Opening an issue can’t hurt, it’ll at least draw attention to it.

Oh, what the reasoning was for removing #no_copy? It seems like a useful thing, at least for things like Sync primitives where you don’t want to copy them unwittingly.

Here is the reason: #no_copy not working · Issue #5685 · odin-lang/Odin · GitHub
